Jacqueline Dutton

Jacqueline Dutton is a researcher, educator and writer at the University of Melbourne, and a board member and trustee of the Irrawaddy Literary Festival. Her first book was published in French, on the work of 2008 Nobel Laureate in Literature, JMG Le Clézio, Le Chercheur d’or et d’ailleurs: L’Utopie de JMG Le Clézio (2003), and she has since written many articles on contemporary French literature, world literatures, utopianism, travel writing, and gastronomy, including Myanmar’s emerging wine industry. She has directed several major cultural events including the Australian Festival of Travel Writing, and the Symposium of Australian Gastronomy. She is currently writing a cultural history of the wines of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne.
