Malcolm Clarke

Two-time Oscar Winner and Four-time Academy Award nominated Director, Writer & Producer – Malcolm Clarke has been making films since the early 1980s, first in his native England and later in the US & Canada. He has made films in more than 80 countries and his work has also won awards from the DGA, WGA, DGC, Cable ACE, EMMYs plus the BAFTA ‘John Grierson Prize’.

Mr. Clarke frequently works as a ‘script-doctor’ for the Hollywood studios. In 2014 he shifted his focus to making China-related films that could have impact & influence in the rest of the world. His theatrical documentary; ‘Better Angels’; a meditation on one possible future in the vexing, yet ever-evolving relationship between the world’s two great superpowers; the United States & China. 

Mr. Clarke is currently preparing his next theatrical feature; ‘A Day to Remember’; a love story set during the  devastating  Sichuan earthquake of 2008.
